Felonies

A felony is a serious crime that is usually punishable by imprisonment for more than (1) year. Some examples of felonies are rape, arson, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, battery, grand theft, etc. Our office will fight to reduce the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor and to minimize or eliminate the possibility of jail time which would allow you to be on probation or enter a particular program. Many times if you are eligible for a program and you successfully complete the program then the charges against you will be dropped.
